Wordpress
After considering various web development options I settled on using WordPress to create this site. Since this is my first site I figured having some of the heavy lifting done for me would help with the overall learning curve. I’m quite satisfied with the result!

This the the WordPress theme I decided to use for developing this site. It’s awesome and comes with a ton of features, a nice interface, and helpful support. For someone like myself that is new to web design, has some basic programming knowledge, and was looking to create a modern site, this was perfect!

DigitalOcean
I chose to use DigitalOcean as my Virtual Private Server (VPS) provider because they have a nice, low-cost, entry plan for a Unmanaged VPS with pretty good specs. This acts as a good starting point for startups and has plenty of options for scaling up as you grow including a host of other services that you can add as you need them.
